Alagad has worked with a number of manufacturing companies, which often have complex data management needs related to global communications, logistics and workflow. Government regulations and compliance issues heighten the data and communications management challenges these companies face.

In order to address these ever-increasing business challenges, Alagad provides custom systems that meet clients' specific business needs. For example, one of our manufacturing clients needed to track nearly 800 data points for each of the thousands of products they manufacture to maintain accurate business and regulatory information. Their existing systems did not provide the flexibility or workflow capabilities to track this level of data, control access to the data or enforce business rules when updating the data. Furthermore, the data had to be "pushed" across to other internal systems, including their ERP.

The client explored many options, including purchasing off-the-shelf software and customizing their existing systems. Alternatively, they elected to hire Alagad to work with and mentor their internal IT development team to create a custom package that provided all of the features they required. The resulting system saved the client millions of dollars, while also providing them with exactly what they needed to more efficiently manage their data and workflow. Furthermore, because of Alagad's mentoring, the company's development team is now empowered to continue growing and evolving this system to meet future needs.
